Description
RealFi is a stablecoin protocol built on Cardano that connects on-chain capital to real-world credit markets. It issues two tokens. USDrf is a USD-denominated stablecoin designed to hold a 1:1 peg and to serve as a stable unit for payments, trading, liquidity provision and treasury operations. sUSDrf is the staked form of USDrf and carries the yield generated by the reserve portfolio. USDrf is fully reserved: the reserve is anchored by a liquidity buffer of U.S. Treasury bills and tokenised government money market funds, with the balance held in liquid floating-rate credit, investment-grade CLO ETFs and short-tenor, senior-secured private credit to fintech lenders. The liquidity buffer is sized so that expected and stressed redemptions can be met without selling private assets. Whitelisted institutions mint and redeem USDrf directly with the protocol under KYB checks; other users acquire and exit USDrf on decentralised exchanges. RealFi is backed by Input Output Global (IOG), the engineering company behind Cardano. The protocol launched on Cardano mainnet on 1 October 2026, with an Ethereum deployment to follow. USDrf and sUSDrf are issued by British Virgin Islands business companies and the protocol is governed by the RealFi Foundation, a Cayman Islands foundation company. RealFi products are not available to users in the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Hong Kong or other restricted jurisdictions. USDrf is not a bank deposit, is not insured and carries risk, including potential loss of principal.
